There is new leadership at The Inn at New Hyde Park. Joining the team are Jeffrey Artura as director of operations, Abimael Fuentes is the executive chef and Lynn Arleo has been promoted to director of sales.
The new team is bringing a fresh set of leadership ideas to an event venue that was started in 1938, said The Inn’s CEO Steve Giordanella.
Giordanella spoke of The Inn’s “rich history” in the region “for weddings and special occasions over the past 85-plus years, it was just time for some new blood and new innovative thinking,” Giordanella told LIBN. “The focus is on both maintaining the traditional excellence of The Inn while staying relevant with modern trends in weddings and special events.”
Artura previously held leadership roles at Marriott, UBS Arena and the Jacob Javits Convention Center, bringing “25 years of experience in the management of premium food and beverage operations and large-scale events,” Giordanella said in a news release about the new leadership. “He will lead the Inn to ensure flawless event execution and exceptional service.”
As chef, Fuentes “will undoubtedly bring a fresh perspective to our kitchen, and we know his innovative approach will raise the bar for our guests and their culinary experience,” Giordanella said. “We are excited to embrace his vision of new, fresh seasonal menus. With his culinary expertise, he will be enhancing our plating and advancing our culinary offerings from our appetizers to desserts.”
Arleo brings 36 years of hospitality expertise. “We are excited to embrace his vision of new, fresh seasonal menus. With his culinary expertise, he will be enhancing our plating and advancing our culinary offerings from our appetizers to desserts,” Giordanella said.
