A new awards program is named after Hon. Randall T. Eng, of counsel at Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein in Garden City.
In recognition of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Appellate Division, Second Department is celebrating its first annual Hon. Randall T. Eng Awards ceremony.
Born in Guangzhou, China, and raised in New York City, Eng is recognized as the first Asian American judge in New York State and the first Asian American to serve as presiding justice in the state’s history. Currently, Eng is a member of Meyer Suozzi’s Litigation Department, including the Appellate Practice and Criminal Defense groups.
This year, the Hon. Randall T. Eng Award will be presented to Rep. Grace Meng, the first and only Asian American member of Congress from New York State, representing the 6th congressional district in Queens.
