Redefine Meals, with a location in Lake Grove, is offering a special menu of which 15% of sales will be donated to Island Harvest, the nonprofit headquartered in Melville that aims to end hunger.
The meal-prep company has launched “The Harvest Menu,” available from Oct. 12 through Nov. 12 and featuring fall-themed dishes. Offerings include the Harvest Salad, with hydro-organic lettuce topped with grilled chicken, candied pecans, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and an apple cider dressing for $10.49. Also available is the company’s Harvest French Toast Sticks with pumpkin glaze, and for those seeking a protein-packed start to their day, the Harvest Protein Pumpkin Pancakes with maple syrup for $8.99.
Through food rescue and distribution initiatives, Island Harvest provides support to nearly 300,000 people facing hunger and food insecurity in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Island Harvest to introduce the Harvest Menu,” Mark Ciaburri, owner of Redefine Meals, said in a written statement. “This partnership reflects our commitment to not only serve healthy food but also to give back to the community, especially as we get closer to the holidays. We hope that the Harvest Menu warms hearts by making a meaningful impact on the fight against hunger.”
“On behalf of the children, families, seniors and veterans we serve, we are grateful to Redefine Meals and its enlightened leadership for their caring and generosity,” Randi Shubin Dresner, president and CEO of Island Harvest, said in a written statement. “Partnerships like these are having a positive effect in combating hunger and its root causes and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Redefined Meals.”
