The Long Island Association has elected seven new members to its board of directors, representing a wide range of industries.
The new board members include Robert Free, acting president of the MTA LIRR; JoAnne Hewett, director of Brookhaven National Laboratory; Stu Lubow, president and CEO of Dime Community Bank; Robert Milas, senior vice president and Long Island market executive of Citizens Bank; Andrew Rainone, senior vice president of business sales at Altice; Kim Stone, president of UBS Arena; and Morgan Taylor, vice president of business operations of BSE Global.
“The continued growth and diversification of our board of directors stands as a testament to the LIA’s commitment to excellence and progress,” Lawrence Waldman, chairman of the Long Island Association, said in a written statement.
“With each addition, we solidify our promise to offer unparalleled opportunities for business collaboration and networking for our valued members,” he added.
“The LIA is proud to welcome this talented group of new members to our board of directors who bring a wealth of experience and innovation,” Matt Cohen, president and CEO of the Long Island Association, said in a written statement.
“Their demonstrated leadership in their respective fields aligns with our mission to ensure Long Island’s economic vitality,” he added. “With these new directors, the LIA is not just growing in numbers but in collective knowledge and vision for the future.”
The new members were elected at the LIA meeting in October.
