Farrell Fritz, the law firm with headquartered in Uniondale, is expanding its New York City office.
The law firm has announced that the firm is expanding its corporate practice, where Josh Kalish has joined as partner. The firm is also expanding its trusts and estates practice where David Goldstein has joined as partner.
“Adding partners of this caliber in New York City continues to support our growth plans as a firm,” Robert Creighton, the firm’s managing partner, said in a statement.
“As we continue to build the firm as a resource for middle market companies, their founders, and wealthy families, Josh and David strengthen our capacity to provide high quality service to these clients,” he added. “Bringing top entrepreneurial talent to the firm is a priority as we look to the future.”
Kalish brings a focus on emerging companies and venture capital, or ECVC. His background includes transactional and general counsel experience, including early-and growth-stage equity and debt financings, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, technology development and licensing, founder dispute resolution as well as corporate governance and outside general counsel advisory work.
Kalish spent the last five years as a partner at the ECVC-focused boutique law firm Odell Girton Siegel, where he developed client relationships across the technology and startup sector. Kalish spent the first six years of his career as a corporate associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, before serving as general counsel to two technology startups in New York City.

A graduate of New York University School of Law, earning both his J.D. and LL.M. in tax, Goldstein brings expertise in representing both domestic and international clients in estate planning and tax matters. Most recently, he was an associate in the private client practice at Shearman & Sterling in New York City. He has began his career at Katten.
Goldstein’s background and expertise advising high-net-worth individuals and their families is expected to enhance the team of T&E lawyers at Farrell Fritz. His experience working with international families and complex intergenerational wealth transfers continues to broaden the reach of the practice in New York City and beyond.
