JAG Physical Therapy, a growing chain of physical and occupational therapy practices, has expanded on Long Island with the acquisition of a Huntington practice.
Proactive Physical Therapy, at 52 Wall St. joins the Bridgewater, N.J.-based JAG chain, which now has 13 locations on Long Island.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Proactive Physical Therapy, which will be rebranded and operate under the JAG Physical Therapy banner, offers specialized manual therapy, golf fitness and performance training designed to help golfers improve their swing, fitness and to treat injuries and hyperbaric oxygen therapy that supports and accelerates healing, reduces swelling and reduces time of recovery, according to a company statement.
Steve Login, clinical director of the facility, founded the Huntington clinic 16 years ago and will remain with the practice.
“Since 2009, our clinic has provided an environment where patients feel supported and empowered throughout their rehabilitation experience,” Login said in the statement. “We’re excited to continue our mission under the JAG Physical Therapy brand, combining our local relationships and services with the resources of a trusted, growing healthcare network.”
John Gallucci Jr., president and CEO of JAG Physical Therapy, said the company is thrilled to welcome Login and his Proactive team to the JAG brand.
“The clinic’s commitment to clinical excellence and its innovative offerings makes it a strong complement to our expanding services across Long Island,” he said in the statement. “This addition reflects our focus on growing with purpose and bringing specialized care to more communities across the Northeast.”
JAG Physical Therapy, which provides physical and occupational therapy and rehabilitative care to patients and sports teams, now has more than 170 locations throughout New York City, New Jersey, Westchester and Rockland counties, Long Island and Pennsylvania. The chain is the official provider of physical therapy for sports teams such as the New Jersey Devils, Columbia University Athletics, and Princeton University Athletics.
