ABOUT ‘LONG ISLAND BUSINESS INFLUENCERS: DYNAMIC WOMEN 2024’
In this special section, “Long Island Business Influencers: Most Dynamic Women 2024,” you’ll note there is definitely no shortage of strong, successful women leaders on Long Island. Regardless of their industry and position, Long Island holds some of the most forward-thinking female leaders, who aren’t afraid to speak their minds and challenge what’s not working, in order to propel their respective industries to the next level.
Here at Long Island Business News, we are proud to recognized these women leaders, and it has always been a tradition to do so. For almost 25 years, our prestigious Top 50 Women in Business awards has honored Long Island’s top female professionals for their business acumen, mentoring and community involvement. As one of our biggest events of the year, we are currently accepting nominations for this achievement until Friday, July 12. Winners will be recognized with a celebration dinner on Thursday, Oct. 17. Learn more at https://libn.com/event/top50women/.
Last year we broadened our recognition of Long Island women and launched our Empowering Women special editorial section to recognize the organizations that are elevating, educating, and growing women leaders. Next month, we are taking Empowering Women to the next level by launching a live event in conjunction with its accompanying special editorial section. Designed for networking and education among women in all phases of their careers, this gathering—starting at 11 a.m. on July 25— will feature a panel discussion and Q&A: What I wish I Knew (Before Becoming a Women Leader). The day will culminate with the Empowering Women awards held later that afternoon honoring Long Island-based companies working to elevate, educate and empower women leaders.

In the meantime, I encourage you to read the profiles on the following pages and learn more about these exceptional women.
We will also feature additional industries throughout the year. If you—or someone you know—is considered a Long Island influencer, please feel free to recommend them using our online form: https://libn.com/libn-influencers-recommendation-form/.
