Tetra, a company that provides home heating and cooling solutions through an online platform, is expanding into Nassau County.
Launched in Massachusetts in 2022, Tetra sources a network of local HVAC contractors to install energy-efficient heat pumps and covers maintenance and repairs of the heating-and-cooling systems.
Besides entering the Nassau market, Tetra is also now available in Westchester and Rockland counties and plans to expand to all New York state residents over the next year and into more states by early 2025. The expansion comes on the heels of the firm’s $10.5 million seed round financing, according to a company statement.
Tetra claims that homeowners who upgrade to its energy-efficient systems save an average of $1,900 per year on home energy expenses. In New York, the company says it can help customers unlock up to $12,000 in available rebates and reduce a home’s carbon emissions by over 4 metric tons annually.
“The recent heat wave and surge of extreme weather conditions underscore the importance of reliable and efficient cooling systems,” Max Veggeberg, Tetra CEO and founder, said in the statement. “Outdated heating and cooling systems can’t keep up with the intense temperatures that will only continue to get worse, while costs continue to rise, affecting families across New York State. Our mission with Tetra is to prepare you for the times ahead and improve your home with a better and safer HVAC system while protecting the space you love. Tetra is by your side for every step of the process for life to ensure you receive the best service possible.”
Tetra oversees the HVAC upgrading process for homeowners, uses an AI-enabled, proprietary quoting tool to assess the thermal output needed for the home and generate a plan and fixed quote for heat pump installation. The company provides heat pumps from major industry brands, including Mitsubishi, Daikin, Carrier and others.
