Golfzon Range by Leadbetter, an indoor golf training concept, will open its first Long Island location next month.
The 9,000-square-foot training center is expected to open in mid-March at 655 Merrick Ave. in Westbury.
This will be the second New York-area location for Golfzon Range, following its first in Little Ferry, N.J. which opened in 2022.
The new Westbury Golfzon Range will feature 18 Golfzon driving range simulators, a “puttview” interactive slopped putting green, and instruction from Leadbetter-accredited instructors, according to a company statement. It will also offer private lessons, swing analysis, group classes, tournaments, competitions, and tailored programs for juniors and ladies.
“I’m proud to announce the opening of our second Golfzon Range by Leadbetter facility in Westbury and can’t wait to welcome golfers on Long Island to our new golf training center,” Benedict Riches, CEO of Golfzon Leadbetter, said in the statement. “The positive impact our first location has had on how golfers improve, especially beginners, gives us confidence our concept works and hope that we can continue to expand and help even more golfers in the future to learn, practice and play.”
David Leadbetter, who heads instruction for the company, is a PGA Hall of Fame professional who was named PGA Teacher of the Year in 2017. Leadbetter, whose clientele includes 26 major champions, has authored eight golf instruction books with more than 2.5 million copies sold, according to the company.
“It’s been remarkable witnessing golfers of all levels coming to our facility,” Leadbetter said in the statement. “Golfzon Range is not just a place to practice, it’s a community that fosters learning and improvement. The combination of advanced technology and expert instruction has truly transformed how golf can be learned.”
The training simulators used at Golfzon Range are made by South Korea-based Golfzon, which has been producing advanced golf simulators for more than 20 years. The company has a presence at more than 11,000 sites in 63 countries.
The new Golfzon Range in Westbury is offering golfers the chance to try the facility by signing up for a free week of membership. Those who sign up can also get an opening discount of up to 50 percent off memberships and lessons. More information can be found on the company’s website at golfzonrange.com.
