Forchelli Deegan Terrana, the law firm headquartered in Uniondale, is expanding, with new team members, and additional office space.
The firm, which now has 145 employees, had already renewed and expanded its lease to 50,000-square-foot office space in 2022, occupying the entire 10th floor of The Omni building. But in November, the firm, to accommodate its new team members, leased an additional 8,000 square feet of office space on the building’s ninth floor, which now features the same interior design, amenities and technology of that of the 10th-floor remodel.
In 2022, the attorneys and team members of Koeppel Martone & Leistman joined FDT. And in 2023, the firm continued to grow when it added attorneys that include Anthony Varbero and David Casagrande, launching FDT’s securities litigation and regulation practice group; Bret McCabe in the firm’s construction practice; Cheryl Katz in the firm’s tax, trusts and estates group, with a concentration in estate litigation; Jonathan Weiss, who is also in the firm’s tax, trusts and estates group; Julia Lee, in tax certiorari; and Gregory Kalnitsky in land use and zoning.
Caroline Frisoni joined the firm this year, serving in FDT’s corporate and mergers and acquisitions group as an associate pending admission to the New York State Bar. The firm also welcomed law clerks, including Alexi Kirsch, Camila Morcos, Josephine Pinnock and Robert Ricigliano, as well as a paralegal – with a focus in tax, trusts and estates – Nicole Ciano.
Jeffrey Forchelli, the firm’s co-managing partner, said that “from a position of strength and stability, we are focusing on bolstering both the firm’s core and complementary practice groups by recruiting the finest talent and taking additional office space to accommodate the growth.”
