Long Island’s own Dee Snider, the lead singer of Twisted Sister, returned to the region to star in a commercial with Hauppauge-based Relocators, a moving company.
The collaboration comes after Relocators assisted Snider and his family with a cross-country move from Los Angeles, California to North Carolina.
“Even though I have been away from Long Island for over 10 years now, Long Island will always be my home,” Snider said in a news release about the commercial, in which he shared insights about working with Relocators and its founder, Rob Esposito.
“When it came to moving my family from California to North Carolina, I knew I could trust Rob and his reputable professionals at Relocators,” Snider said. “Despite the move being out of state, I wanted to work with a Long Island company that I could rely on. After some disappointing experiences with other moving companies, Rob assured me they will handle my family’s cross-country move without any obstacles.”
The commercial was produced and directed by Emmy winner Mike Amoia.
“It was a blast working with Dee on the commercial,” Esposito said in the news release. “He truly understands the challenges that people face when moving.”
The commercial production took place over the course of one day and included Relocators employees and Esposito’s three children. The commercial will air across the tri-state area in January 2025.
Snider is also featured in Esposito’s upcoming book, “Nobody Move (without this book),” which is set for release on Jan. 15.
“I decided to include moving horror stories in my book to highlight the steps people need to take to ensure an easy, stress free and lower cost move,” Esposito said. “From years of experience, I have developed hundreds of practical tips and strategies that everyone can use. Moving is one of life’s greatest stressors, but it does not have to be. Dee Snider’s nightmare story he shared for the book highlights the need for people to educate themselves before they even begin the moving process. They really should not move without reading this book.”
