Business Networking International’s 1st Resource Chapter is hosting a morning networking event at Vincent’s Clam Bar in Carle Place on Wednesday, Oct. 11. The event starts promptly at 7 a.m.
In-person networking is getting back up to speed, after declines wrought by COVID. Like other networking groups, BNI, saw a membership drop, but according to its chapter president, Dennis Cohen of JJM Roofing, and vice president, Randy Goldbaum of Egress Pros, the group has now surpassed its pre-pandemic membership, with 84 members. The two tasked Rob Esposito, a BNI past chapter president, with recharging membership.
“In-person networking is essential for business on Long Island,” Esposito, founder of Relocators, said in a written statement. “When people meet in person, they build relationships and trust. This leads to business referrals and opportunities.”
The event may draw more than 90 attendees, organizers said, but Vincent’s Clam Bar said it is ready.
“We decided to do something different and host a series of early networking events,” Bobby Marisi, co-owner of the restaurant, said in a statement.
The event will also give the restaurant the chance to “showcase some of our great food, have an interactive cooking demo with the members and share the many business lessons learned while operating our restaurant for over the last 30 years,” Marisi said.
For Esposito, the event connects ties to his early working years while he builds new relationships.
“Vincent’s was my only job as a kid and the owners were mentors when I started my company 16 Years ago,” he said. “Being able to join my current networking family with my past mentoring family for the good of all is a dream come true.”
