The Commercial and Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS) celebrated the first graduating class of the CIBS Designation program, a new designation that includes the most qualified and experienced brokers throughout Long Island.
The CIBS Designation was created to provide resources for brokers to highlight their exceptional professional achievements and qualifications, and their strong transactional history in brokerage fee-based services. The inaugural class had eight graduates who completed and passed 12 hours of education sessions and maintained an active membership in CIBS.
“This is a proud moment for our organization as we recognize the first CIBS elite class and these individuals who are true ambassadors for our industry with this designation —the best of the best,” CIBS Co-President and Cushman & Wakefield Executive Managing Director David Pennetta said in a written statement. “To be CIBS Designation, a broker has a demonstrated track record of success and has completed an eight-course curriculum designed for this purpose. With the resources of the CIBS Designation program at their disposal, this designation helps them stand out as brokers, supporting their success.”
The courses in the program, which began in spring 2023, covered a variety of subjects, including New York State brokerage law, capital markets, environmental insurance and government assistance agencies such as industrial development agencies and the Empire State Development Corporation.
The inaugural graduates in the CIBS Designation Class of 2024 includes Ted Stratigos of Avison Young; David Pennetta of Cushman & Wakefield; Ralph Benzakein of Cresa Partners; Gary Schacker of United Realty; Stephen Cadorette of Cushman & Wakefield; Marian Campi-Conde of NAI Long Island; Michael Corsello of NAI Long Island; and Michael Rosenfeld of The Rochlin Organization.
