Breeze Airways is adding two nonstop flights from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Raleigh-Durham, NC, and Portland, ME.
The “summer seasonal” route to Portland will begin on June 28, with fares starting from $49 one way, running Wednesday and Saturday. The year-round Raleigh-Durham service will begin on June 29, with fares starting from $59, running Thursday and Sunday.
The routes are in addition to summer routes that were already announced including to Richmond, VA, beginning May 18, and to Pittsburgh, PA, beginning May 25. These flights run Thursday and Sunday.
“Each of these exciting new routes presents tremendous opportunity for Long Islanders, whether they wish to experience Maine’s beautiful parks, coastline and local seafood, or head south to Raleigh-Durham, NC, home to one of the greatest technological research parks in the world,” Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter said in a statement.
“Portland is our newest Breeze city, starting next month,” David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, said in a statement. “These two new routes from Islip will give Long Islanders fast, affordable and convenient options to get to both Maine and North Carolina.”
Breeze also serves Charleston, SC, and Norfolk, VA, nonstop from MacArthur, as well as one-stop/no plane change service to New Orleans, LA, and Jacksonville, FL.
