German Sludge/Post-Metal Act TranscomaR Signs With Wormholedeath

A Raw and Immersive Sludge/Post-Metal Experience, Coming February 2025Bochum, Germany-based metal act TranscomaR has inked a deal with Wormholedeath for the release of their debut album, The Sea of Trees. The album is set to drop on February 7, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the band’s journey.

At the core of “The Sea of Trees” lies its unique concept: stripping away the excess layers of emotion, situation, and inspiration, leaving only their pure essence. This concept shapes the album’s vibe and structure, showcasing the band’s vision through a minimalistic approach. By forgoing a wide range of instruments, they sharpen the focus of the songs, creating an intentional and immersive listening experience. The pacing is masterfully crafted, and musically, the record accomplishes exactly what it set out to achieve.

The band seamlessly blends experimentation with expert songwriting while capturing the raw energy of straight-up rock. They describe their sound as sitting between grunge, sludge, and post-metal. “If you enjoy broken shouting, down-tuned guitars, and the occasional noise storm, you’ll find yourself at home with us.”

TranscomaR is a two-piece band from Bochum, Germany, formed by friends Ramin and Tobias in 2018. They initially met through a mutual friend while living in an alternative house community, where Ramin often joined Tobias’ punk band to jam. Over time, their shared passion for music led them to form their band. After playing on local stages and facing pandemic restrictions, they recorded their debut album, The Sea of Trees, in 2022, which was released a year later on Bandcamp. Their sound blends grunge, sludge, and post-metal, featuring heavy, down-tuned guitars, intense shouting, and occasional noise storms.
