- Betty Gabriel (Get Out, Clickbait), Thomas Barbusca (The Mick, Luckiest Girl Alive) and Annie Gonzalez (Flamin’ Hot, Jenni) are joining the cast of Legion M’s thriller, Fade to Black.
- Rounding out the newly added cast are Caylee Cowan (Sunrise in Heaven), Johnno Wilson (I Love That For You), Veronika Dash (Isabel’s Garden) and Scott Evans (Barbie). Filming of the screenplay written by Brandon Cohen is now underway in Los Angeles.
- Fade to Black follows Amit (played by Soni) as he navigates the horrors of trying to break into the twisted business of Hollywood. After an accidental death spurs a sinister epiphany, the screenwriter starts committing the murders of his script’s fictional serial killer in a desperate attempt to generate the IP necessary to get his movie made. The film promises a darkly comedic exploration of ambition, madness and the brutal reality of the entertainment industry.
- Cast by Jamie Castro, the film marks the feature debut of director Andrew Sandler and is led by the previously announced Karan Soni, Max Carver, Katerina Tanenbaum, John Carroll Lynch, Joseph Lee and Zosia Mamet.

- Legion M and Craftsmen Media Co. are also pleased to announce the creative team behind Fade to Black.
- Bryce Fortner (Ingrid Goes West, Professor Marston & The Wonder Women) will serve as the project’s cinematographer, joined by production designer Brandon Mendez (Flamin’ Hot, Four Good Days) and costume designer Margaret Robbs (Challengers, Westworld). The film will also feature the editing talents of Nathan Orloff (Saturday Night, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) and Justin Yates.
- The cast additions come as Legion M’s festival darling, My Dead Friend Zoe, continues to win Audience Awards at festivals such as SXSW, Mill Valley and Woodstock Film Festival’s as it prepares for its February 2025 release from Briarcliff. The company will also see another genre film of theirs, The Man in the White Van, release theatrically from Relativity on Friday, December 13.
- Paul Scanlan and David Baxter will produce through the Legion M banner alongside Brent Craft, under Craftsmen Media Co., and Andrew Carlberg (Academy Award-winner Skin, Mutt, The Fallout). Randall Einhorn (Abbott Elementary, The Office), Danny Hamouie, Jeff Annison and Chris Boshuizen will serve as Executive Producers.
