The Sand Land US release date window has been set, with the highly anticipated anime movie adaptation arriving in North America next year.
Sand Land coming to North America in 2024
The Sand Land U.S. release date window was set during the film’s world premiere screening at 2023’s San Diego Comic-Con (via Anime News Network). No news on what company will distribute the film was announced, but a North American release alone is sure to make fans happy.
The Canadian premiere is currently set for Montreal’s 26th Fantasia International Film Festival, which is taking place from July 20-August 9, 2023. As for Japan, the adaptation will premiere in theaters on August 18, 2023.

Sand Land is a shonen manga series created by Akira Toriyama. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump serialized the manga from May 22, 2000, to August 28, 2000. There are 14 chapters, available in one volume. It was released on November 2, 2000, in Japan. Meanwhile, Viz Media handled the North American and English release of the series. They released the English volume on December 24, 2003.
A video game based on the series was also announced this year, and is set to release sometime later as well.
