Long Island and New York City are home to a new mediation and arbitration firm. Mediation Solutions was founded by attorneys Nancy Burner; Allison Johs; Frederick Johs; Michael Levine; and Hon. A. Gail Prudenti.
The firm provides in-person and virtual mediation and arbitration services for attorneys and their clients across Long Island and New York City. Its offices are in Islandia, East Hampton, Southampton, Westhampton Beach, and Manhattan.
“The courts have experienced a tremendous backlog of cases since the pandemic, making it more difficult for attorneys and their clients to have their cases resolved,” Prudenti, the former chief administrative judge of the Courts of New York State and dean of Hofstra Law, said in a statement.
“Mediation helps to alleviate this backlog and allows for parties to have their cases resolved fairly and effectively,” she added.
“Litigants in Suffolk County haven’t had a local option for alternative dispute resolution,” Frederick Johs, principal of Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, said in a statement.
“We saw the need and have assembled a panel of judges and practitioners who have unmatched expertise in their fields and experience resolving cases effectively,” he added.
The firm offers services for practice areas that include personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, property disputes, Surrogate’s Court matters, guardianships, tax certiorari, labor and employment, matrimonial and family law, municipal litigation and zoning and land use.
