Three wealth managers formerly with Signature Bank have joined American Investment Planners in Jericho.
The team of Edwin Milner, Laura Palacios and Jason Kurz, managing nearly $1.1 billion in client assets, will be providing financial planning, retirement and private wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals, businesses and foundations, according to a statement from Atria Wealth Solutions.
Atria is the parent company of Cadaret, Grant & Co., of which American Investment Planners is its largest branch.
“Our business is built on open and honest relationships with our clients, and we owed it to them to offer more robust investment solutions and better technology while still providing the tailored high-touch service they are accustomed to,” Palacio said in the statement. “Through Atria, Cadaret Grant and AIP will provide us with unparalleled services, solutions and technologies that go far beyond anything we have seen and will help us to create an exceptional experience for our clients.”
Milner, Palacios and Kurz were recruited from Flagstar Bank, a subsidiary of New York Community Bank, which bought a significant chunk of the failed Signature Bank in a $2.7 billion deal earlier this year. As part of the transaction, the 40 branches of Signature became Flagstar Bank.
